Casa Mirador

Casa Mirador occupies the last buildable plot on its ridge, which means the view west across the Central Valley cannot be built out. The house answers that view with restraint: a long, low rectangle in dark steel and glass, set back behind a reflecting court so that the approach reveals the valley only at the final turn.

Inside, the plan is single-aspect by design. Every principal room faces west; service spaces, circulation and the garage are pushed to the eastern edge. The result is a living level that reads as one uninterrupted room, forty metres long, with the city lights arriving at dusk like something switched on.

The house is new and has never been occupied. Climate control, lighting, shading and security run on a single system. A separate two-bedroom apartment at garden level has its own entrance, suited to staff, guests or a home office with independent access.
